IQ Furniture of Springdale became BCBC Modern in June.

The ultramodern furniture store sold to B.C. Lee of Tulsa for an undisclosed amount. Lee operates a modern furniture store by the same name in that town.

BCBC stands for Brown Chicken Brown Cow.

Matt Noonan was one of the original partners in IQ Furniture and remains as the Springdale manager.

Noonan said the store stocks a “clean modern and sophisticated look that transitions from a traditional style home to a more modern setting.”

Sales have been slow, Noonan said, mostly due to the economy, but Lee’s ownership and the affiliation with the Tulsa store may mean opportunity for expansion in Arkansas.

The most expensive piece the store is currently selling is a glass dinning room suit that retails for $4,000, but Noonan likes a red 3-piece sectional sofa that sells for $2,499.
