Atwell-Hicks Arrives in Bentonville
A land development firm with a 103-year history is setting up shop in Bentonville.
Atwell-Hicks has opened an office on Main Street and hired three consultants from CEI Engineering Associates Inc. to launch local operations and support national client programs.
It is Michigan-based Atwell-Hicks’ fourth office in the southeast, joining Tampa, Orlando and Nashville and will serve clients in Arkansas and Texas.
The firm handles all aspects of land development including economic analysis, site preparation, zoning, regulatory approval and community outreach.
We’re told one reason the company chose Bentonville was the region’s Green Valley movement. Atwell-Hicks specializes in areas such as environmental compliance, stormwater management and reduced energy use through LEED building practices.
The former CEI employees are Joshua Knott, Andrew Slyter and Ross Merkling. Knott and Merkling will be project managers and Slyter will be senior engineer.
“The Bentonville expansion is strategic to the firm in several ways,” said Atwell-Hicks chief operating officer Dan McNulty.
“With existing clients in the region, and the ability to expand our regional footprint in the Southeast, we feel it will complement our existing national platform.”
Atwell-Hicks has 15 offices across the United States and Asia.
