The Building Owners and Managers Association has started a Northwest Arkansas chapter to provide an additional networking and leadership opportunity for those in the commercial development, management and vendor industries.

BOMA, based in Washington D.C., is an organization with more than 92 chapters and 16,500 members nationwide.

The organization is dedicated to connecting building owners and building managers with companies and individuals that provide services and products for commercial real estate.

Bonnie Piccirilli, president of the Northwest Arkansas BOMA chapter, said the benefits of being a BOMA member include access to education programs, national research and monthly networking opportunities.

BOMA releases Experience Exchange Reports, which report national income, expense, operating costs and standards that building owners and managers can use to estimate operating costs and accurately prepare budgets.

The Northwest Arkansas chapter holds monthly informational luncheons on the third Friday of each month. Speakers will address a variety of topics that are relevant to the commercial real estate market.

The Northwest Arkansas chapter is accepting new members. Anyone in the commercial real estate industry or in a supporting industry is invited to join.
