Whitley Dunn to Leave Dixie Real Estate
Realtor Whitley Dunn, a CCIM and principal broker with Dixie Real Estate of Fayetteville, is leaving the company.
Dunn said he will temporarily remain the principal broker for Dixie until the company can replace him with a licensed broker.
Ben Israel, CEO and owner of Dixie Management and Investment Co. (the parent company of Dixie Real Estate), said a replacement may be found as early as July 30, but he wouldn’t say who that might be.
Israel’s been down this road before.
In 2005, former broker Jenny Talley left the firm and refused to relinquish the principal broker title, claiming the company owed her commissions.
Talley eventually signed over the brokerage, freeing Dixie to continue to do real estate business, and in September 2006, she was awarded more than $480,000 by a Fayetteville jury.
Israel and Dunn said the separation in July was amicable.
Dunn said he’s not sure what he’ll do; he’s got opportunities to start his own brokerage or go with local or national firms.
