Regions Spreads Wings in Washington County
Regions Bank, the state’s largest with deposits of $4.065 billion, will open its sixth branch in Northwest Arkansas at 2576 W. Sunset Ave. in Springdale sometime in March. The 2,000-SF branch will be full-service and will employ about six people, said Arthur Thurman, president of Regions’ Fayetteville/Springdale market.
A two-story, 20,000-SF full-service branch on Joyce Boulevard in Fayetteville is scheduled to open in June. Thurman said the building will house all of Regions’ main services: full-service banking commercial and consumer loan operations, Morgan Keegan & Co. trust services and Rebsamen Insurance.
In October, a temporary branch opened on Joyce Boulevard in what used to be Regions Mortgage Co.
Nabholz Construction of Rogers is the general contractor of both the Fayetteville and Springdale branches.
Regions is chartered in Alabama and has three branches in Rogers and one in Bentonville. Total local deposits are more than $117 million.
