Ogden, See Plan New Magazine
Gregg Ogden and Mari See plan to launch Celebrate Northwest Arkansas sometime between November and January.
Ogden, who will serve as publisher, said the four-color, glossy magazine will be published monthly. The first issue will be about 96 pages, he said.
The magazine will “celebrate people, places and events in Northwest Arkansas,” Ogden said. Each issue will feature a profile of a businessperson and a house in addition to a large dining section with reviews.
See, who is originally from Los Angeles, will serve as editor. The magazine will cover Benton and Washington counties.
Ogden said most metropolitan areas of a similar size throughout the country have subscription-based magazines, so he thought Northwest Arkansas also needs one. Ogden said he doesn’t see Celebrate Northwest Arkansas as a competitor with CitiScapes because that magazine is distributed for free.
Ogden said his magazine will cost $4.95 per issue on newsstands. A year’s subscription will sell for $29. Ogden said he is currently looking for writers and photographers to work for the publication.
Ogden owns Athletic World Advertising, a sports calendar company in Fayetteville.
