Walker Goes DOXA, Opens Seattle Office
Tim Walker has changed the name of his Fayetteville design firm from Walker Creative to DOXA Total Design Strategy.
With the change, which went into effect May 1, DOXA opened a one-man office in Seattle, Wash. Paul Graves of the United Kingdom, who began working for Walker on April 1, will work from the Seattle office.
Walker said the name change signifies an expansion of the firm’s services beyond design.
“Our mission at DOXA will be to help our clients discover what they really believe and then turn it into reality through the strategic use of design,” Walker wrote in an e-mail to clients. “In short, we are a belief-articulation company.
“I feel like the company has outgrown my personal name,” Walker told the Business Journal. “I felt like it was time to create a name that was less dependent on me.”
DOXA is a Greek word that essentially means “a belief system or a way of seeing things.”
