Jones Family to Create New Fund
The Northwest Arkansas Community Foundation is taking on a new community trust fund that’s expected to be at least $2 million. The fund is being established by the Jones family and will be called the Harvey and Bernice Jones Community Fund. It’s formation is expected to be announced by the end of October.
Connie Hendrix-Kral, director of donor relations for the Community Foundation, said it will be a donor-advised fund and managed under the umbrella of the Community Foundation. Bernice Jones, Joel Carver and Dan Ferritor will serve as the fund advisors. All three serve as trustees of the Jones Family Trusts.
“It provides greater flexibility and the ability to serve this region on a permanent basis.” Hendrix-Kral said about the relationship with the Community Foundation.
