Armadillo Grill to be La Hacienda
Tim and Beverly Graham have sold the Armadillo Grill at 1100 S. 48th Place in Springdale to the owners of La Hacienda, who have Mexican restaurants in Hot Springs, Little Rock, Conway and Benton.
The Armadillo Grill was scheduled to close on Oct. 26. The restaurant will reopen as soon as it is renovated to be a La Hacienda Mexican restaurant. Israel Alvarez, a member of the family that owns La Hacienda, said the new restaurant should be open before the end of the year. He said Louis Osguera, another family member, is in charge of renovating and opening the Springdale location.
The Grahams opened the Armadillo Grill 10 years ago. The restaurant specialized in steaks, barbecue and hamburgers.
Beverly Graham said the couple also owned the building and real estate, which are being sold to La Hacienda as well. Neither Graham nor Alvarez would disclose the selling price.
“My husband is in a lot of other investments in Northwest Arkansas and will be kept busy with those,” Beverly Graham said. “We’ve just sold out to them and are looking forward to doing new things, and I think it’ll be a nice restaurant, too.”
