Dale Daniels, market manager for Clear Channel Communications’ four radio stations in Fayetteville, will soon be dining on vegamite sandwiches and steaks off the barbie. The 18-year veteran of Arkansas radio has been transferred to the publicly traded company’s international division.

Daniels takes over July 9 as market manager in Sydney, Australia, a city of 3.9 million people. He will oversee Sydney stations “Mix” 106.5 FM, “Classic Hits” 107.7 FM and 96.1 FM. For several years, his Fayetteville stations have held four of the top five Arbitron ratings spots in Northwest Arkansas’ market of 311,259.

Daniels, 42, managed KJEM (“The Eagle” 93.3 FM), KMXF (“Hot Mix” 101.9 FM), KEZA (“Magic” 107.9 FM) and KKIX (“Kix” 103.9 FM) through June.

Daniels has been with KEZA continuously since 1990, serving through a couple of ownership changes. Clear Channel, based in San Antonio, Texas, owns 1,200 U.S. stations and 350 abroad.
