Dick Trammel – The Rainmaker
If Dick Trammel were cloned it would only mean two of him would work tirelessly toward improving Rogers. It’s not as if he wants to alleviate any of his extracurricular work.
r”Dick Trammel is Mr. Rogers,” said one of the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s contacts.
rThe executive vice president of Arvest Bank in Rogers, Trammel spends seemingly endless hours fighting for what he believes are the best interests of his town.
r”Any money that’s ever been raised by anybody in Rogers, well, Dick Trammel has been right in the middle of it,” said another contact. “Almost anything in this community that’s gone on, Dick has been a part of it.”
rTrammel was tabbed the overall Rogers Rainmaker, thanks in large part to being mentioned by a number of our contacts in several categories.
rHe took a humble approach to the honor.
r”The people of Rogers are so open and giving,” Trammel said, “This is the best generation in history.
r”They have given me the opportunities. Any recognition I get is because of my friends who have helped me. I can’t do anything, but we can do a whole lot.”
rTrammel said he has only been able to do such work because of the understanding of his bank’s leadership. “They just told me, ‘Dick, if it’s good for the community it’s worth our times and yours.'”
