Construction Begins at Pinnacle Hills

Construction began in late August on the planned 200-room Pinnacle Hills Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center in Rogers.

Pinnacle Hospitality Group LLC, the financial partners of Pinnacle Hills, consists of Gary Combs, Carla Tyson, Red Hudson, Collins Haynes, Bill Schwyhart and George Westmoreland.

The convention center will be between 10,000 and 15,000 SF in size. The project will also include a six-story office tower covering about 90,000 SF.

The total project, which includes financing from several banks, will cost about $19 million.

The complex will be on 90 acres adjacent to Pinnacle Point on the west side of Interstate 540. The target date for the grand opening is in the fall of 2001.

Combs and Tyson purchased the land in June for $8.1 million with a loan from Arvest Bank in Rogers.
