Little Rock-based Polk Stanley Yeary Architects, a firm that is part of the architectural team for the Clinton Presidential Library, has opened a branch office in Fayetteville.

The firm cited numerous new commissions, such as the Northwest Quadrant Residential College project on the University of Arkansas campus and the Schmeiding Center for Aging in Springdale, along with on-going projects for the Bank of Fayetteville, for the expansion.

The new office will be at 21 West Mountain on the Fayetteville square.

“We feel that we have done some of our best work in the Fayetteville area and we believe we should have a physical presence here in order to provide a higher level of client service,” said president Tommy Polk.

Polk Stanley Yeary Architects was established in 1977 and has a current staff of 22. The firm has designed many significant buildings in the area, including the former First National Bank of Fayetteville (now Bank of America), which was one of the first major commissions for the office. Other projects in Fayetteville have included planning revisions to the square in Fayetteville, the Bell Engineering Center, the Bank of Fayetteville, the addition to the Student Union on the University’s campus and the Mrs. Young Building.

Significant projects located around the state include Pavilion in the Park, the new Main Library in Little Rock, Jones Eye Center on the UAMS campus, campus/headquarters facilities for Acxiom Corp., Alltel Corp. and Stephens Inc. Current projects include the Chamber of Commerce Center and Acxiom Office Tower in Little Rock.
