UA to Host Seminar for Business Reporters
The University of Arkansas will host a seminar titled “Fundamentals of Business and Economics Reporting” from March 30 through April 1 at the Donald W. Reynolds Center on campus.
Jack Speer, business correspondent for National Public Radio’s Morning Edition, will be the main speaker. More than 20 other speakers will participate. The list includes business journalists from area newspapers, representatives from local and statewide business and industry and professors from the UA’s Sam M. Walton College of Business Administration.
Deadline for applications to attend was March 17, but Patsy Watkins, chair of the UA’s Walter J. Lemke Department of Journalism, said late applications may be accepted by calling her or Katherine Shurlds at 575-3601.
A $25 application fee is required, but the fee is refunded to applicants who attend the seminar.
