J.L. Properties of Bentonville plans to tear down its aging, 1,200-SF office building at 104 S. Walton Blvd. and build a new, two-story office facility.

The $707,029 project is being financed by the Bank of Rogers and will be used as lease space.

James A. Lemmon, president of J.L. Properties, owns the one-acre lot that includes a strip mall along Southwest Second Street occupied by several vendors to Wal-Mart Stores Inc. The property is lot 37B of the Fairview Heights Addition to Bentonville.

The new office building will be 3,400 SF and it may be split up to suit the spacing needs of tenants. Lemmon is still seeking tenants.
