Sears Renovatoin Nears Completion

Renovation of the Sears store in Fay-etteville’s Northwest Arkansas Mall should be completed around July 1, says Greg Day, who took over as the store’s manager in January. Day previously was manager of the Sears in Jonesboro’s Indian Mall.

Day says renovation of the store’s exterior is already complete, but interior work is still underway in women’s footwear and home fashions departments.

The renovation included a new, 40,000-SF addition that was constructed on the southwest corner of the mall (where the Sears store is located). The total renovation almost doubled the size of the store, increasing it from about 54,000 SF to about 98,000 SF, Day says.

Day says the renovation has more than doubled the size of apparel departments in the store.
