Mathias Shopping Centers Inc. of Fayetteville received a $1.2 million construction mortgage April 2 for its new Skyler Center on West Sunset Avenue in Springdale. Sam Mathias signed the note.

The 20,000-SF shopping center is between a branch of the First National Bank of Springdale and Kentucky Fried Chicken. Construction is expected to be completed in August or September.

Mathias is also the general contractor.
