Bids for Birds
Kinco Construction Co. and Nabholz Construction are the main contract bidders for a $20 million to $30 million expansion of Tyson Foods Inc.’s Chick’N Quick plant in Rogers. The bids are still being considered, and Metric Construction of Charlotte, N.C., is also hoping to slip into the mix.
The contractors are eager to hear just what Tyson has decided. But the Springdale-based company has taken those bids “under advisement.”
The 70,000-SF expansion means Tyson is seriously upgrading its plant and expanding its capacity.
The original portion of the facility, which was a lingerie factory built in the 1930s, is also going to be remodeled.
