Louisiana Company Plans New Facilities in Springdale

Construction of new facilities for Head & Engquist Equipment LLC of Baton Rouge, La., is being financed with a $1 million loan from Bank One of Louisiana.
The mortgage was issued June 18 and signed by John M. Engquist as CEO of the company. The loan is secured by 3.25 acres at 781 E. Randall Wobbe Road in Springdale.
Head & Engquist bought the land March 18, 1997, for $110,000 from Dunk Automatic Sprinkler Company Inc. Dunk had bought the land Jan. 3, 1995, for $74,000 from Victor Manufacturing Inc.
Head & Engquist plans to build a new office complex, a four-bay shop building and warehouse totaling more than 17,000 SF at the location. Work is scheduled to begin within 30 days and to be completed by Christmas.
Currently, the company is leasing facilities at 2100 Turner Road in Springdale. Head & Engquist also has offices in Little Rock, where the company is building a $2 million facility, and Fort Smith.
