Dixie Rises Again
There seems to be a flurry of activity at the Dixieland Mall in Rogers these days.
Amid a multimillion dollar renovation, three new businesses are opening in the development.
Goody’s Family Clothing plans to open a 27,000-SF store on Aug. 13, says John Stuckey, president of the Gottlieb Corp., which manages the mall. The owners of the mall renovated a vacant building in the development for the store.
Last week, a gourmet restaurant called Mimi’s opened in the mall and the Christian Book Outlet, a regional chain based in Harrison, is moving its store to the mall Aug. 1. Stuckey says he expects to sign three more new tenants in the next month.
The mall not only is renovating the existing buildings but also adding another building and parking lot, he says. When the work is done and new tenants sign leases, the mall will be 380,000 SF with about a 95 percent occupancy rate.
