Bethany Anderson has a heavy background in music writing, which makes her ideal for work in music publicity. ImageWorks is a public relations firm that caters to small businesses, clubs, restaurants and bands.

“I have been writing about music since college, and bands have often called me for advice. It seemed hard for them to find a good public relations agent, ” says Anderson. That is how she came up with the idea for a public relations firm centered on music publicity.

“No one has really tapped into Fayetteville’s huge music scene,” says Anderson. “There is a need out there for this kind of business.” Many people come to clubs just to hear the bands. Anderson believes that there are plenty of places for bands to play in Fayetteville.

“Just in the past year and a half, there have been two new big venues in Fayetteville,” Anderson explains. If a band has talent, it can expect a chance to display that talent in Northwest Arkansas, with the help of ImageWorks.

Anderson has written for Nightflying, The Northwest Arkansas Times, The Morning News of Northwest Arkansas, The Fayetteville Free Weekly, The Arkansas Times, Blues Revue and The Southwest Times Record. She currently is working as the music editor for Fayetteville Free Weekly.

ImageWorks’ clientele includes local bands and small businesses as well as clubs such as Doc Murdock’s. Her firm offers special rates for one-time event work as well as a package specifically designed for musicians and bands.
