Frozen Food Outlet Opens in Springdale

Ashlyn’s Food Outlet opened May 16 at 1115 Henri de Tonti Blvd. in Springdale. The 1,000-SF grocery store carries only frozen foods, says manager Neal Green.
“It is discount because we buy directly from the food producers,” he says. “We cut out the middle man so we can offer food at a lower price. And there’s no membership required.”
Green says Ashlyn’s sells frozen meat and vegetables from the nation’s major food suppliers. Eighty percent of the inventory is bulk with 10-pound boxes of food being the largest sold at Ashlyn’s. The food sold at Ashlyn’s, which is stored there at temperatures of zero degrees and below, will last for months in a consumer’s refrigerator freezer, Green says.
Ashlyn’s is owned by Design Tech Builders of Springdale. If the store is successful, other Ashlyn’s stores may be opened, says Green.
