Fayetteville Lawyer Approved Unanimously as Federal Judge
Tim Brooks, a partner at Fayetteville law firm Taylor Law Partners LLP, was confirmed March 5 to serve as judge in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas. Senators voted 100-0 in favor of Brooks’ confirmation.
Brooks, a University of Arkansas graduate, spent his entire 24-year legal career with TLP, becoming a partner in 1993.
Brooks was nominated by President Barack Obama in June to serve on the federal court that oversees 34 Arkansas counties.
“Timothy Brooks has the experience, background and temperament to unanimously qualify him for the job,” U.S. Sen. John Boozman, R-Ark., said in a statement. “I am confident that he will do an excellent job in this role and make Arkansas proud of his service.”
