FSB Office Makes Move from Emma to Sunset in Springdale
First Security Bank recently moved its local trust and wealth management division to a more convenient location in Springdale.
The office, now in a 5,267-SF building at 2500 W. Sunset Ave. across from Tyson 412 West, was in downtown Springdale on West Emma Avenue for several years, said vice president and investment officer Scott Powell.
“This gives us closer access to [Interstate 540] without leaving Springdale,” Powell said. “We’ll have a little better visibility for all of our clients in Northwest Arkansas.”
First Security’s assets under management make up 1,399 accounts totaling more than $500 million. A little more than half of those accounts are institutional clients, like the city of Fayetteville. Others are affluent families and individuals.
Of those accounts, the trust department is responsible for investment management agencies, trust accounts, estate accounts, IRA accounts, retirement plans, bond issues and guardianships.
The trust and wealth office will have four full-time employees and one intern. None are commissioned employees.
The West Sunset office is at the site of a previous branch of First National Bank of Springdale. First Security picked up the property during its acquisition of FNB in late 2003.
In November 2004, after extensive renovations, it became FSB’s Business Banking Center catering to business customers on the go.
