Rogers-based Rockfish Interactive is the lone Arkansas representative on this year’s Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing companies, and the advertising/marketing firm earned the distinction in its first year of eligibility.

“It’s a big honor for us to make the list,” Rockfish founder and CEO Kenny Tomlin said. “Many of today’s great companies were first recognized as part of the Inc. 500.”

The list consists of privately held, for-profit, independent companies that meet minimum revenue requirements. Rockfish is ranked No. 445 with a revenue growth rate of about 673 percent from 2006 ($988,991) to 2009 ($7.7 million).

Rockfish touts itself as a “digital solutions” company, and its projects include an iPhone gaming app, Pocket Grin, for Listerine, and MyWalmart.com, rated one of the world’s top intranets by Nielsen Norman Group, according to Inc.

Rockfish has opened offices in Little Rock, Dallas and San Franciso over the past 20 months, and hopes to open another in Cincinnati, Ohio, by the end of the year.
