Hannover House Hits a Hill
It was reported Aug. 12 that Hannover House, the Springdale-based film and video distribution division of the Las Vegas-based Target Development Group Inc. is teaming with Vancouver-based Red Bear Entertainment for “Terminator 3000.”
The film is described as a 3-D animated feature based on characters and situations from the original “Terminator.” Making the film could cost $70 million, according to reports, and a January start date has been proposed.
However, multiple Internet sites are reporting Pacificor, the rights holder to the venerable franchise, has sent Hannover House a cease-and-desist letter insisting the company stop production.
We’ve also seen several indications Hannover House has relinquished distribution rights for the award-winning “happythankyoumoreplease” to Anchor Bay Films, which appears set to release it in theaters. The romantic comedy stars Josh Radnor of “How I Met Your Mother” fame.
Officials at Hannover House could not be reached for comment.
