Open Conversation For Supplier Community Approaches

A new forum for retail (Read: Wal-Mart) suppliers – and anyone who offers services to those suppliers – is apparently right around the corner.

As we understand it, a group called Supplier Connect plans to hold its first meeting sometime in September. The exact location hasn’t been determined, but a local hotel meeting space is a good bet.

More importantly, the powers behind the group are aiming for a more frank and open dialogue within the supplier community than has been available in the past. The meetings, which won’t be open to retailers (Read: Wal-Mart), will promote open discussion about different issues and experiences, as well as collaborative efforts to find solutions.

We also understand interested parties should keep their ears open for upcoming announcements regarding dates, locations and a website.
