Realtor Ranks Down

The total statewide number of Realtors registered with the Arkansas Realtors Association was at a peak at the end of February in 2007, with 8,513 due-paying members. That number was down to 7,607, or 8.5 percent, as of Feb. 28.
The number in Northwest Arkansas has decreased 23.5 percent over the same period.
Ethan Nobles, director of media relations at the ARA, said the re-registration process is in full swing and that dues are due at the end of March.
Not to be a harbinger of doom, Nobles said the expectation of the ARA is that about 10 percent of the statewide Realtors will not re-register.
