Yet another restaurant has fallen victim to the tough economy. The Chili’s Grill & Bar on Sunset Avenue in Springdale has been stripped of its signs and is listed for sale by Equity Commercial Realty. The restaurant opened in April 2007 and employed about 55 people.
Brinker International, the Dallas-based restaurant company that owns the Chili’s locations in Springdale, Rogers and Fayetteville, as well as On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina in Rogers, reported revenues of $949.4 million in the second quarter of 2009, a 7.8 percent decline compared with the $1.03 billion reported for the same period of fiscal 2008.
