Arvest Makes More Mobile Moves
Not to be out done in brick and mortar locations or in cyberspace, Arvest Bank recently tapped into an iPhone application that gives the phone’s users more direct access to their bank accounts. This follows the bank’s recent mobile availability to Alltel customers.
For those still stuck in clunky world of BlackBerrys, Apple’s iPhone allows for third party software engineers to design custom apps that take advantage of the phone’s architecture and connectivity and ultimately drive traffic to their sites.
Arvest has hitched its wagon to the Firethorn star, which has created an application called Mobile Banking for AT&T Customers. The application allows customers to use a modified interface on their iPhones, which is easier than just surfing to the bank’s site and logging in.
The only other bank in the market that has signed on with the the app is BancorpSouth Bank, based in Tupelo, Miss., and big in the Fort Smith market.
