Parking Possible at Renaissance Hole

It looks like the city of Fayetteville is finally starting to lose faith that the big hole on the corner of Mountain Street and College Avenue will ever become a Renaissance Tower Hotel.

Fayetteville’s Off Street Parking Improvement District has asked their legal counsel to look into the possibility of using eminent domain to take over the site and turn it into a permanent parking lot for the city.

Owners John Nock and Richard Alexander have plans to fill the hole and turn it into a temporary parking lot, but for some reason the board doesn’t trust that will happen.
