Store Brings Culture, Heart to Fayetteville

Corazon, a unique home furnishings store, opened its doors in the downtown Fayetteville Square on June 5.

Located at 15 S. Block, next to Town & Country, warm Latin tones and imported furniture create an inviting shopping experience for clients.

“If I hadn’t been able to get this space, I may not have opened the store,” said Tess Gibbs, president and owner of Corazon. “It’s got a personality you can’t find in a newer space.”

Gibbs stocks the 2,400-SF space with one-of-a-kind, made-as-ordered pieces that range from $60 to $2,000.

“We carry pretty much anything I fell in love with,” Gibbs said. “I try to keep the price down by buying directly from the factory.”

Gibbs formed the idea for Corazon nine years ago when she returned to Fayetteville after living in San Diego. “It brings cultures and tastes found in big cities to the area,” she said.

“Translated, ‘Corazon’ means heart, and that’s what it is. It’s what I put my heart into and what I care about.”
