A second area Zaxby’s location is nearing completion in Springdale. Brian Driggers and David Jackson, who also own the Zaxby’s in Bentonville, are targeting a mid-November opening for the Springdale store at 400 N. Thompson Ave.

All new Zaxby’s open on Mondays, and spokeswoman Amanda Harnish said the tentative dates being considered are Nov. 12 or Nov. 19.

The Springdale location is 2,375 SF, will seat 56 and will create 40 to 50 jobs. The pair has also finalized locations for Zaxby’s in Siloam Springs and Fayetteville.

The Siloam Springs store will be at 190 N. Progress Ave. and the Fayetteville location will be at 1670 W. Sixth St. Both are slated for openings around January 2008.

Zaxby’s offers fresh, prepared-at-order chicken tenders and wings as well as sandwiches and salads.

Sixth Street is becoming quite the chicken Mecca. It already is home to Charlie’s Chicken, KFC and the newly opened Popeye’s Chicken & Biscuts. A fourth Fayetteville Chick-fil-A (only the second stand-alone) is also under construction at the corner of Razorback Road and Sixth Street at the former Spot-Not carwash.
