Barcenas sold Picasso’s on Aug. 20 to Matt Tracy, formerly of Pittsburgh, Pa. Tracy, whose wife is from the Northwest Arkansas area, has 17 years in the restaurant business.

Tracy tells us he owned a coffee shop-bar-restaurant on Pittsburgh’s south side for seven years, an area he described as “Dickson Street on steroids” with more than 100 liquor licenses on the strip. Tracy said the best comparison in Fayetteville would be Common Grounds.

There are no plans to change the name of Picasso’s, although Tracy is working on a new logo and his wife has created picassosdining.com that has recently been updated with the new lunch menu.

Tracy said he’s working on a new wine list and a new dinner menu he hopes to introduce by late in the year.
