The 16th Annual Tom Pagnozzi Charities Golf Tournament was full for the first time in its history on Sept. 14 with more than 300 golfers entered and the combined tournament, banquet and memorabilia auction raised more than $145,000.

Not surprisingly, Arkansas tailback and Heisman Trophy front-runner Darren McFadden items were particularly hot. David Lipsmeyer secured a game-worn, autographed McFadden helmet for $1,300 as well as sideline passes and club seats at a New Orleans Saints game for $1,600.

Pat Reed, the COO of FedEx Freight, snagged a McFadden autographed game jersey for $1,100.

The biggest ticket item was a trip to Scotland won by Matt Britt for $3,700 and a Michael Jordan autographed, game-used jersey sold to Mike Weldon for $2,700.

Pagnozzi Charities has nearly reached its 2007 goal of offering 1,150 scholarships to youths to attend sports camps and purchase equipment.
