Live auction items, food, cocktails and Mr. Cabbagehead & the Screamin’ Radishes came together Friday night at the Holiday Inn City Center to support Bost Inc. and its more than 700 clients in 36 counties in Arkansas.

More than 300 attended Grape Escapes, a Vine Affair. Participating wine distributors served 600 wines from around the world, and 15 area restaurants and caterers shared their delicacies.

“Grape escapes is a good way to get people in the community to recognize Bost and what we do for our consumers with developmental disabilities,” said Shannon Fawcett, events coordinator for the Bost Foundation. “Our consumers are working tonight greeting people and busing tables.”

Bost, which has been in business more than 50 years, helps people with disabilities, and their families, to achieve greater independence by providing lifelong choices, support and learning opportunities from age six weeks throughout their lives.

Auction items included a weekend escape in Branson, Dallas Cowboy Skybox Extravaganza, dinner and a movie for eight, Hearts on Fire jewelry, a week’s stay at a private home in Santa Fe, N.M., seven nights for four people at Barefoot Beach Resort in Florida, a gourmet dinner and wine-pairing event for 10 people, an Oaklawn weekend with box seats and tickets to football games.
