Gregg Primm realized early on he had an affinity for accounting.
Armed with two degrees (accounting and management) from the University of Arkansas and an MBA from the University of Georgia, Primm has found employment with several area firms, including Crosswood Associates, Hanna’s Candle Co. and Ernst & Young.
But at WellQuest, which he joined in April 2008, Primm has found his niche.
In his current role Primm supervises 35 employees, is responsible for all financial functions and is general manager of the Bentonville clinic.
“I think the vision at WellQuest is to really revolutionize the health care industry, at least from a primary care viewpoint,” he said.
In 2009, WellQuest grew 15 percent, with revenues of $3.8 million. Primm and Co. are also in the midst of a capital campaign that hopes to see WellQuest expand to additional markets.
Any unusual hobbies?
“Accountants don’t do crazy,” the Alma native replied.
But they do try to help.
In May, Primm returned from a trip to Haiti where he and members of his church spent a week assisting earthquake victims.
Part of his time there was spent helping build two houses.
He has a word of advice for newcomers: “Don’t underestimate the value of hard work.”
