By All Means LLC, which consists of Mike and Barbara Means of Little Rock, plan to build its second area McAlister’s Deli franchise in the proposed Fountain Plaza development at the intersection of Walnut and “J” streets in Bentonville.

By All Means opened a 4,000-SF McAlister’s in November 2002 in Fayetteville’s CMN Business Park. That restaurant brought in $1.44 million in sales last year, according to city tax records.

Mike Carey, operations manager for By All Means, said the company is still looking for a builder and plans to begin construction this summer. Carey said construction will take about three months. The Bentonville McAlister’s, which will be similar in size to the one in Fayetteville, will be part of a retail complex being developed by Jeannie Fleeman of Rogers.

McAlister’s specializes in sandwiches, soups, salads and loaded baked potatoes. The quick-casual restaurants are usually open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
