Jesse Pierce of Lowell and Shannon McCullock of Springdale plan to open the first Habanero Joe’s burrito restaurant by June 1 in a 3,000-SF space in Springdale’s East Pointe Plaza. Construction of the 17,000-SF shopping center is slated to be finished by mid-May, said the owner, Kim Ledbetter of C&L Properties in Springdale.

Pierce currently owns Pepper Jack’s, a build-your-own burrito eatery in Bentonville. He said Pepper Jack’s name will eventually be changed to Habanero Joe’s.

Pierce and McCullock are also negotiating with a landlord to open a restaurant in Fayetteville.

Pierce said the Springdale restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 8 p.m. on Sundays.

Ledbetter said 9,000 SF of the shopping center was leased as of April 19. The building was constructed by Toby Ledbetter of C&L Construction LLC.
