Triad, P.A.M. Downgraded By Analysts

Financial analyst J.P. Morgan downgraded Triad Hospitals Inc. from “overweight” to “neutral” on July 14. The Dallas health care firm owns Northwest Health System Inc., the parent of Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville and Northwest Medical Center of Washington County in Springdale. Triad also owns Willow Creek Women’s Hospital in Johnson, Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado and Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

Triad is expected to release information on its second-quarter earnings on July 28.

It’s revenues for the quarter ending March 31 were $954.5 million — a 10.7 percent increase compared with revenues earned the previous quarter. Net income for the hospital company was listed at $47.3 million, with diluted earnings of 63 cents per share.

Triad has about 8,700 licensed hospital beds in 49 hospitals and 14 ambulatory surgery centers in 17 states.

P.A.M. Transportation Services Inc. of Tontitown was downgraded July 10 from a “buy rating to a “hold” by A.G. Edwards of St. Louis.
