United We Edit, Divided We Err

Last issue we listed the wrong name for United Bank’s president and CEO in our list of Northwest Arkansas’ Top Bank Performers. Although we spoke to and correctly quoted Hank Brashears for an article, the actual list supplied by Bauer Financial Reports Inc. of Coral Gables, Fla., still had Douglas Kittrell tabbed as the bank’s president and CEO.

Kittrell left United Bank in 1996, and we didn’t catch the error prior to publication.

It’s a shame because United’s 2.29 percent return on assets and 20.33 percent return on equity, No. 1 and No. 2 in the market respectively, obviously mean Brashears is getting the job done.
