Let Him Go

James Dennie, the former owner and president of the former Dentech Systems Inc. of Springdale, was released from prison Jan. 7 after serving exactly one year of his sentence.

Dennie had been in the Southwest Arkansas Community Punishment Program in Pine Bluff serving a two-year sentence for felony driving while under the influence of intoxicants.

Prison officials say Dennie is headed back to Springdale where he will be on supervised parole for the next year. He was given $40 and help making travel arrangements to the area.

Dentech was closed last February, about a month after Dennie went to prison. The following day, the company was forced into bankruptcy by its creditors. The company’s assets were auctioned in July.
