~ Alyce A. Moore has completed the course in personal property appraisal at the Certified Appraisers Guild of America. She has also completed the Jewelers of America certification in jewelry from the Texas Institute for Jewelry Technology in Paris, Texas. She recently earned a graduate gemologist diploma from the Gemological Institute of America. Moore is co-owner of Premier Auction Services Inc. in Eureka Springs and is a certified document examiner.

~ Northwest Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute recently named two new members to its board. They are Vernon Austin of Decatur and Doyle Baker of West Fork.

Austin, president of Decatur State Bank, is also president of the Decatur Booster Club, a member of the Gravette Hospital board and a member of the Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association. He is past president of the Decatur School Board and the Decatur and Northwest Arkansas Summer Sports.

Baker is currently chairman of the Washington Regional Medical System board of directors and serves on the boards of Farmers and Merchants Bank of Prairie Grove and the West Fork Water and Sewer Commission. He is also director of the Boston Mountain Program and is a member of the West Fork Lions’ Club.

Ed Adair, Suzie Stephens, Lewis Epley Jr., Mary Ann Greenwood, Bud Edwards and Randy Koontz are also NARTI board members.

~ Ron Blackwell Ford Jeep Eagle of Bentonville recently honored employees Larry Brandt, Richard Baker and Thomas Epling for 10 years of service with the company.

~ The Rogers Early Risers Rotary Club recently named new officers for the next year. They are: Gary Blackburn, president; Judy Burns, president-elect and director of club service; Dixie South, secretary; Doug Applegate, treasurer; Kent Sohosky, sergeant-at-arms and director; Wade Kniseley, director of community service; Jay Kraner, director of vocational service; Philip Knight, director of international service; and Bill Watkins, past president.

~ Clint McDonald, an owner and general manager of Laney’s Collision Services in Springdale, recently attended a series of Acoat seminars in Toronto, Canada.

~ The Northwest Arkansas Advertising Federation recently announced its slate of officers and committee chairmen for 1998-99. President is Jim Blankenship of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette; Randy Ross of Ross Graphics, first vice-president; Kristen Earnhart of Thompson/Earnhart & Associates, second vice-president; Patt Walker of Mimi’s Gourmet Kitchen, secretary; Steven Johns of the Power Radio Group, treasurer; and Randy Mullikin of The Mullikin Advertising Agency, immediate past president. Membership chairman is Don Young of KHOG Television; ADDY awards committee chairman is Joe Murfin of Kirkpatrick Williams Gurley and Associates and public relations chairman is Holly Smith of New Century Marketing.

~ George Janus of Eureka Springs has recently returned from the Missouri Auction School where he completed courses in auctioneering and auction sales management.
