Selman Retires
Cleta Selman, who served for the past 25 years as an administrative employee of Tyson Foods Inc., retired July 15.
Selman started with the company in 1973 as executive secretary to the vice president of finance. When she retired, Selman was manager of administrative services. In that position, she managed the work flow in the executive area and worked closely with Don Tyson, senior chairman, and Leland Tollett, chairman and CEO of Tyson Foods.
“It’s not a retirement,” says Selman. “It’s more of a graduation.”
Selman says she’ll be working full time as an accountant for Comet Cleaners, which is run by her husband and has locations in Fayetteville and Springdale.
