About 100 high school athletes and their families came from across Arkansas on Dec. 9 to receive awards and hear the Arkansas Razorbacks’ head football coach, Houston Nutt, address the group.
The only problem was Nutt didn’t show up.
The high school Heisman award event was sponsored by Stone & Ward advertising agency of Little Rock and Wendy’s hamburger chain. Nutt was scheduled to appear at the noon luncheon at the Fayetteville Hilton Hotel.
Nutt made it to the event last year just in time to hand out awards and slap backs.
