Patio or Parking?
A Fayetteville restaurateur said a plan by the owners of C.D. Lounge to turn a parking lot on Dickson Street into a patio will never get past the Fayetteville Planning Commission.
The plan would do away with about 20 parking spaces in a private lot between C.D. Lounge and Jose’s Mexican Restaurant. Parking spaces are important to the city’s entertainment district, and the Planning Commission scrutinizes any proposal to eliminate spaces.
C.D. Lounge owners Chung Lin and Jeremy Ross hoped to have the new patio open by summer, doubling the size of the bar’s existing patio. Until November, C.D. Lounge was known as Art’s Place on Dickson and was owned by Art Stiles.
