Springdale Population Doubles in Decade
Springdale’s population has grown by 50 percent in the last decade from 29,941 in 1990 to an estimated 44,800 in 2000. The result: More schools with many more to come.
Springdale Public Schools, with 15 schools already, plans on opening another high school, junior high, middle school and five more elementary schools by 2010.

And there is also Shiloh Christian School, which has an enrollment of 867 students from four-year-olds through 12th grade.
Springdale Public Schools will be adding East Elementary in 2002 on the southwest corner of Arkansas Highway 412 and Butterfield Coach Road. A new Harps Food Store will also be opening in the near future in that vicinity.
