Village Baptist Church is building a new sanctuary, administrative and educational facility at the corner of Pentland and Glasgow Streets in Bella Vista. Bill Wright, chairman of the church’s board of deacons, has secured $500,000 of financing through Bank of Bentonville for the $750,000 project.
The 17,400-SF structure will have two stories and will include a 250-seat sanctuary. General contractor Joplin Design & Construction Co. of Joplin, Mo., has already started work at the site. Construction is expected to be completed by November.
Cooper Communities Inc. donated the real estate for the project, and the church’s design was done by Perry L. Butcher & Associates Architects.
Precision Excavation of Jane, Mo., is doing the preliminary site work.
