Mike Beard and Doy Gillihan of Moberly Professional Park LLC on Aug. 21 got a loan of $1.43 million from Great Southern Bank of Springfield, Mo., to add the second of seven planned office buildings in a Bentonville business complex.

rThe second building will be 16,500 SF and should be ready for occupancy in late spring.

rMoberly Professional Park is located on nine acres. The plans include about 125,000 SF for the seven buildings. The first building has 20,700 SF and will have its first tenant, Hewlett-Packard, taking residence there Nov. 17. Hewlett-Packard is leasing 8,500 SF.

rBeard said the goal is to not begin construction on another building until at least 80 percent of the previous building is occupied or leased.

rDevelopment of the park will be from west to east. The park is located just south of the old Alumax building that is now owned by Wal-Mart Stores Inc. Arkansas-Missouri Railroad tracks serve as the boundary between the two businesses.
