Hochman Communications of Fay- etteville plans to sell two of its Northwest Arkansas radio stations.

Being sold are KBRS, 104.9 FM, an alternative music station, and KREB, a sports talk station that broadcasts at three different frequencies: 99.5 FM, 96.7 FM and 1390 AM.

The stations are being purchased by Steve Butler, who will move to Northwest Arkansas from Florida, says Steve Johns, general manager of the two stations. The sale should be completed by mid-July, he says. Johns will stay on with the stations after the sale is completed.

Cumulus Media Inc. of Wisconsin announced last year that it would purchase the two stations (along with three others from Hochman). But after Cumulus bought three stations from Demaree Media Inc. of Fayetteville, it had to pass on the purchase of KBRS and KREB because of regulatory restrictions.

The Hochman stations purchased last year by Cumulus were KMCK-FM, KAMO-FM and KZRA-AM.
